Speech Grading Philosophy
To receive an A for a speech a student will:
1. Fill out completely and on time all paper work proceeding
speech (outline, etc.)
2. All parts of the speech delivered.
3. Speech was delivered very well.
4. Speech was in time range established.
To receive a B for a speech a student will:
Complete 3 of the 4 things listed above.
To receive a C for a speech a student will:
Any or a combination of these:
1. Paper work only partially filled out and/or not on time.
2. Not all parts of speech were delivered
3. Speech was delivered poorly.
4. Time was more than a minute short.
To receive a D for a speech a student will:
Will do very poorly on any or a combination of these:
1. Fill out completely and on time all paper work proceeding speech
2. All parts of the speech delivered.
3. Speech was delivered well.
4. Time was more than 2 minutes short.
OR
Student delivered speech one day late.
To receive a F for a speech a student will:
Will do extremely poorly on any or a combination of these:
1. Fill out completely and on time all paper work proceeding speech
2. All parts of the speech delivered.
3. Speech was delivered well.
4. Time was more than 3 minutes short.
OR
Student delivered speech two days late.
