PIUS X Booster Club Minutes
December 11, 2006
Members Present: Scott Fitzgerald, Duane and Mary Hugo, Steve and Susan
Milhouse, John and Melinda Reinert, John Grosserode, George O’Boyle,
Ron an d Claire Schinkle, Mike and Lisa Cunningham, Greg and Joyce Gibney,
Leighton and Julie Larson, Lauren and Cathy Kanost and Rod Berens.
Scott Fitzgerald opened the meeting with a prayer.
November minutes were approved.
FINANCE: Mary Hugo reports a balance of $113,446.67
Finance committee met and discussed future capital expenditures. Items
include: Reseeding practice fields
New soccer goals
New screening of tennis courts
Additional visitor side bleachers for football field
Baseball storage building including plumbing facilities
George O’Boyle should have a price for the new wrestling mat by January.
MEMBERSHIP: Membership numbers remain the same as last month.
Many positive comments were made in regards to the LCD screen. The duration
of the ads have been adjusted. Additional photos of Pius accomplishments
and announcements are being run.
COMMUNITY BUILDING: The Thunderbolt Scramble Committee met
11/30 and plans are progressing. The committee is looking at ideas to
keep golfers around after the Scramble is finished. This could produce
more profit for the Booster Club.
George O’Boyle is working on dates for the spring track meet.
The basketball goodwill supper with Omaha Skutt was held on 12/9.
Steve Barton supplied Subway sandwiches and chips. Costs were $705.00.
Monies were donated which left us with a final cost of $156.00.
A motion was passed to terminate George’s Nacho sales at home games
due to city sanitary violation codes.
MERCHANDISE SALES: Loren Kanost reported stadium chairs on order will
arrive in January. Sales were slow at the Skutt game.
NEW BUSINESS: An accounting will be done of the number of activity passes
that have been distributed.
OLD BUSINESS: Reminders were sent in the newsletter and on the LCD screen
about the Grandmother’s fundraiser in December.
Scott reminded everyone to expand our committees by asking for other
members to help.
Meeting was closed with a prayer.
The next meeting is January 29, 2007.
