Mike Murphy is the current Band Director, and his assistants are Karen Murphy and Amy Gammel.

The Pius X Band has had a tradition of excellence over the past years. Over the last three years, the band has accumulated 3 "Superior" ratings, and 6 "Excellent" ratings.

The band attends three contests every year, the Links Contest, the LPS Contest, and Nebraska state contest.

Pius Marching shows tend to be 3-4 songs, with a maximum length of 10 minutes.

The shows over the past four years have been Fantasmic, La Nouba, Wicked, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Pius Marching Band show for the 2007 season is West Side Story, and the songs selected are Tonight, America, Maria, Cool, Mambo, Somewhere, and One Hand, One Heart.

Competitions are at Lincoln High on October 6th, East High School on October 13th, andOmaha Millard South on October 20th.
