For the second straight year, head girls soccer coach Steve Andersen has been named the Nebraska state coach of the year by the United Soccer Coaches. The Pius X team has advanced to state four straight seasons, and finished as state runners-up this past spring season.
Four Pius X students have been selected to participate in the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-State Ensembles. Senior Joseph Fitzpatrick, junior Charlie Matthes, and sophomore Sydney Wesely were chosen for the All-State Chorus. Sophomore Joy Morin was selected for the All-State Orchestra.
