What are you studying (your major/minor), and how do you feel Pius X classes and teachers prepared you for your college work?

I am a double major in Elementary and Special Education. The classes at Pius helped push me to always finish my work on time which has helped me always complete my college assignments promptly. I also love how Pius helped prepare me in writing college papers and challenged me academically.

What cool/interesting/awesome projects or activities have you been involved in during college?

I was an ambassador at Pius and I am currently an ambassador at Wesleyan. I love it because I get to show prospective students and their parents how much I love the campus and community. I have also had many teaching practicums at elementary schools to help further my future career.

Did Pius X prepare you well to continue to practice your Catholic faith, and if so, what do you do to keep active in your faith?

At first it was really weird having meat options in my dining hall on campus and most of my new friends weren’t the same faith as me so it was challenging. It was nice though, because I still was able to go to mass every weekend either at my home parish or somewhere else since they offer so many different mass times in Lincoln.

What are your future plans for more studies, or for a career path?

I plan at staying in Lincoln or somewhere near Lincoln and will teach either elementary or special education. I also hope to eventually get a Masters degree to help further my education and career.
