Wayne, Neb. – Aerospace Medic (Nebraska Air National Guard)
I was activated April 6th by the Nebraska Air National Guard to swab first responders in Grand Island. Now my team is swabbing community members. We have also visited a couple of nursing homes to swab the residents. My team and I have primarily been swabbing in Grand Island, but we have also visited some small towns that I had never heard of, such as Gibbon, Cozad, and Lexington. It has been a very humbling experience. I am very grateful to be working alongside the Army National Guard and skilled Air Force personnel. It feels good to help out our fellow Nebraskans. Please pray for continued strength and perseverance for my team.
The ‘front lines’ of the COVID-19 pandemic impacted people near and far. Several Pius X alumni have cared for those impacted by the pandemic, some directly and some indirectly. This is just one of the stories of those alumni who were gracious enough to share their stories from April 2020. Please keep these and all workers in your prayers.
