What is your title and workplace?
I am currently a Support Specialist at Hudl in Lincoln.
How did you get from Pius X to where you are now?
Pius really helped me to lay a good foundation of faith, professionalism, self-discipline and leadership skills which have helped immensely in my current role. After I graduated from Pius, I went on to get a degree from UNL in Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design/ Communications. After graduation, I was a FOCUS Missionary for 3 years at the University of Illinois as well as Western Michigan University. After three years, I came back to Lincoln and started the job I’m currently doing.
When not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing?
Some of the hobbies I enjoy doing outside of work are painting, reading, hanging out with my nephews and family and catching up with friends on FaceTime or at the Mill!
What initiatives or projects are you hoping to start or finish in the coming years?
I’ve been praying hard about starting a Catholic Clothing Boutique that integrates beautiful, modest fashion as well as having space for people to come and have a bible study or different prayer groups. This is a dream of mine that I would love to make happen in the next 3-5 years!
What has been your greatest accomplishment thus far since graduating from Pius X?
I think my greatest accomplishment thus far has been the three years that I got to spend working with FOCUS. The people I got to meet and introduce to Christ, the places I got to see and the ways I watched the Holy Spirit work in the lives of college students was truly priceless.
What memories do you have of Pius X High School?
My favorite memories of Pius were all of the great teachers and mentors I had, Mrs. Frayer and Mrs. Psota are still two women I truly look up to. Their doors were always open to me and I didn’t just feel like I was a student coming for help but it felt like I was getting advice from mentors.
