Sinclair Hille Architects Job Shadow Program

Published

Sinclair Hille Architects offers a job shadow program for any student (grades 9-12) interested in the Architecture or Interior Design field. This program provides high school students with an understanding of the entire architectural design process by allowing them to shadow architects and interior designers. They will discuss the development of a career in architecture and interior design (including education requirements), job opportunities within the field, how a firm is organized, how a firm markets their work, the design process, roles within a project team, and creation of drawings and renderings. The morning activities also include an office tour, desk visits with various staff members, an opportunity to view a building model with a virtual reality headset, and design charrette (short design sketch project) to give students a hands-on introduction to what we do. The program is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Friday, February 20, 2026. There will also be an opportunity to tour the UNL College of Architecture following the office visit, if desired, lasting approximately 45 minutes.

How to Sign Up: If interested in attending, please email cragland@sinclairhille.com as soon as possible. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and seating is limited. Additional information will be given to students who sign up to attend.
