Pius X athletics is planning to begin voluntary summer morning workouts on June 15th.
To start with work out will be open only to athletes who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors. If possible incoming freshmen may be added at a later date. Head coaches will be sending out an email to athletes they have contact information for. The athletes must respond to their head coach with the time session that will work best for them. We will have separate sessions for boys and girls. Because we are limited on how many student athletes we can have at one time we will limit sessions to forty eight student athletes. We will be using the weight room and the gym, so twenty four will be in the weight room, and twenty four in the gym.
The boys will have a schedule for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The girls will go Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. A parental waiver form will also be sent out, and must be signed by parents and athletes before participating in work outs.
If an athlete is not contacted by a coach, or hasn’t worked with a coach please contact Athletic Director Tim Aylward.
Once an athlete is set up in a group they may not change or move to another group. If you sign up for one of our voluntary summer morning workout sessions you will be required to follow the strict safety procedures and guidelines from the NSAA and the health department that will be in place. If you are unable or willing to follow these guidelines you will not be allowed to participate.
