2025 Pius X Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
Few families have left a legacy on Pius X athletics as profound and far-reaching as the Peetz sisters—Ally, Katy, Carly, and Anne. Between 2002 and 2006, the Peetz sisters were anchoring the Thunderbolts on the soccer field—and often leading the way. Together, they helped transform Pius X Girls Soccer into a statewide powerhouse, claiming two Class B State Championships (2004, 2005) and two runner-up finishes (2003, 2006).
Ally Peetz (2004) was a three-year letter winner in soccer and two-year letter winner in cross country. A tenacious defender, she was a team captain and the Defensive MVP during the team’s perfect 21-0 championship season in 2004. Ally was named First-Team Class B All-State, Second-Team All-Nebraska, Shrine Soccer Classic MVP, and earned Academic All-State honors. She was also co-founder and president of the Pius X Recycling Club. Ally played Division I soccer at Creighton University, helping her team to multiple MVC championships and NCAA appearances. She later served nine years in the U.S. Army JAG Corps and now works as General Counsel for a defense tech company in North Carolina. Ally and her husband James have two children and reside in North Carolina.
Katy Peetz (2004) joined Pius X as a sophomore, immediately making an impact with her offensive power. She was named Offensive MVP as a senior, scoring 19 goals and 15 assists, and earned First-Team All-Nebraska, All-State Academic Honors, and Super-State recognition. Katy also lettered in cross country, helping her team place third in 2003. Like Ally, Katy attended Creighton University on athletic and academic scholarships, contributing to multiple conference championships. She later trained at the French Culinary Institute in New York City and earned acclaim as a pastry chef. Katy now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Randy, raising their two young children and working as a chef and consultant, while running her longtime passion project, Keetz.
Carly Peetz (2006) was a four-year varsity starter and served as a team captain during her senior season. She earned four-time Super-State and All-State honors, was named the 2006 Nebraska Girls Soccer Gatorade Player of the Year, and competed in the Shrine Soccer Classic. Carly also lettered in cross country and volleyball, and earned a varsity gold medal in cross country in 2005. At the University of Nebraska, she started every game as a Husker, served as team captain, and was named the Daily Nebraskan Female Athlete of the Year in 2009. After college, Carly was drafted into the Women’s Professional Soccer League and played for both the Boston Breakers and Philadelphia Independence. She now lives in Kearney with her husband, Dr. Matt Weber, raising their three children. Carly found her way back into soccer and is an assistant coach for the Kearney Catholic Girls soccer team.
Anne Peetz (2006) brought grit to the field and court. A four-year varsity soccer player and two-year varsity volleyball athlete, she was instrumental in the team’s 2004 and 2005 soccer state titles. Anne earned Super-State and All-State soccer honors and helped captain the team her senior year. In volleyball, she helped the Bolts to two state tournament appearances and a silver medal in 2004. She followed her sisters to Creighton, excelling on the field and in the classroom. Now an attorney in Houston, Anne has been named to Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch since 2021 for her work in securities law. She and her husband, Collin, have two young boys.
Together, the Peetz sisters embody what it means to be a Pius X Thunderbolt: fierce competitors, committed leaders, and women of excellence both on and off the field. Their combined impact on Pius X athletics—especially girls soccer—helped raise the program to new heights and inspired generations of athletes to follow in their footsteps.
