KC museum trip benefits two school groups
A joint group of 36 students from the Academic Decathlon Program and AP Art History took a trip to Kansas City this weekend to visit Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
Featured are students viewing Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise, Caravaggio’s St. John the Baptist, two Monet pieces, and a Renoir.
AP Art History is taught by Molly Wallish and students are preparing for the Advanced Placement test. Pius is one of only 7 schools statewide that offer AP Art History.
Academic Decathlon students are celebrating the end of their study of the 1960s and looking forward to next year’s topic: In Sickness and in Health: An Exploration of Illness and Wellness.
