The psychology of languages, as learned by understanding language basics

Psychology classes taught by Susan Kelly had some recent guest speakers who taught a few language basics.

Emma Papasian (cousin of senior Ella Williams) shared French, Kylie Nguyen and Van Le taught Vietnamese basics, and Sara Ojut shared aspects of the Arabic language.

Learning a language confers several practical and cognitive benefits.  The methods used to learn new words can drastically affect the language-learning process.

During the language unit in psychology, students take a look at the underlying psychology of language learning by examining history, motivation, memory, and the mind.
