AcaDeca Trip to NYC
Aca Deca took their annual fall trip to New York City to further study their theme of “In Sickness and In Health.” In just five days the students did the following activities: Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, toured The Cloisters, The Tenement Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Frick Collection, walked the High Line, saw The Vessel, Central Park, Times Square, attended a Broadway show, visited China Town, Little Italy, Kevin Clark gave an architectural tour of Grand Central Station and the Public Library, visited Bryant Park, had a tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum with a retired Bronx firefighter who gave a personal account of his experience, saw the Statue of Liberty by ferry. Some of the kids got to Coney Island. The group stayed in two Brooklyn brownstones to get a true NYC experience and rode the subway to navigate during the 5 day trip. Truly a memorable experience!
