Students in Tim Meduna’s biology class recently explored the microscopic world through an engaging, hands-on lab activity.
They examined a variety of prepared cell slides to observe differences between cell types, then took it a step further by creating their own slides using elodea leaves—an aquatic plant ideal for viewing plant cells in action.
Using microscopes, students were able to identify key structures and observe real-time processes.
This interactive experience brought textbook biology to life and deepened their understanding of how cells function.
