Students geocaching in 3E Science class

Studying latitude and longitude – combined with creative lesson planning by science teacher Lori Watson – led to a geocaching activity for students in Earth, Energy and Environment. Geocaching involves using GPS-capable devices to find a specific spot and then attempt to find the geocache (usually a container with an objects inside) purposely placed at that spot. These containers – spread across the school campus – had curriculum-related questions for students to answer. #piusproud
