Parents: Daren and Amy Schriner
School(s) attended K-8: St. Peter’s Catholic School
Favorite place on campus: The front of the LPAC near the windows because I could take my lunch there, hang out with friends there on my off period, etc. It was a nice place for me to relax from my classes.
Activities at Pius X: Wrestling(freshmen & sophomore year). State qualifier both years.

What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?

Physics with Mr. Cox. Walking into class everyday was a thrill because he always put on a show for the class. He always had some crazy invention to show us that related to class. He has a massive gum ball hanging from the ceiling, and kids add to it all the time.

How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?

My education has greatly impacted my faith. I’m very lucky to have had such great Theology teachers. The teachers I had for Theology, throughout high school, made it easy for me to understand my faith more in depth on a personal level. Shout out to my Theology teachers Father Morris, Father Eckrich, Father Fulton, and Sister Maria Meza. I can’t imagine my high school career without them.

What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?

I am most proud of my academic success. I am also lucky to have had such great teachers throughout my high school career at Pius X. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to succeed in classes such as AP Calculus or AP Biology. I’m proud to say I have an education from Pius X High School.

Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?

After I graduate from Pius, I plan on attending Nebraska Wesleyan University. There, I plan to study pre-med with a goal of being a physician some day.
