Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed my time at the football field. Every morning in the fall I would be playing my trumpet on the football field for band, and on Fridays, I would always enjoy my time at the football games. Cross Country practices would always end at the track, and at Track practices, that is where we spend all of our time. This past year, a bunch of my friends and I went down to the field and played football every day during lunch. This was the highlight of my day. The football field holds a lot of memories that I will hold onto forever.

What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?
My favorite class in high school was choir. I have enjoyed singing my whole life and I loved being able to make friends in the choir department that I otherwise would not have met. The choir department is full of amazing people who all bond over their love of music. Mr. Krier is such an amazing director who not only cares about his students’ singing performance, but also their faith life and academic success, and I really appreciated that about him.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?
My faith has impacted my education because I was able to grow closer to my peers through our shared faith. This helped me create better relationships with the people around me, which in turn brought us all closer to God. Having this common ground between students helped us all grow in our education together.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?
I am most proud of how I was able to stay involved in many different activities while also keeping good grades. I was able to have success in just about everything that I did, and I made plenty of good friends and memories in the process. I am not just going to look at Pius X as the high school I attended; I will look at it as a place where I met many of my best friends and a place where I was able to get involved and have fun doing the things I love all in addition to having a great Catholic education.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?
I will be studying Sports Media and Communication at UNL.
