Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed being in the library; it was a quiet place where I could work on homework or hang out with friends. It has its cozy corners for when I wanted to read a book by myself. It is the perfect place to crash during finals week.
Activities at Pius X: I participated in several curricular choirs throughout the years as well as Spectrum show choir. I also was involved in Pius Players and several of the productions that they put on. I am a part of NHS and was a student manager for girls soccer for a year.
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?
One of my favorite classes was AP Literature. It was great to have a class where I could have analytical discussions about different pieces of literature and have others challenge my own perceptions of the books we read.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?
My faith really grew at Pius. I was challenged by my teachers to take ownership of my faith life as preparation for these next steps into the world. I think that especially with all the struggles we as a class experienced this past year, my faith grew a lot more since I was surrounded by such a supportive and faith filled community. I have felt extremely blessed with my education in a Catholic school.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?
Meeting new people and making lasting friendships.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?
I plan to attend Wayne State College next fall to study biology in their Pre-Physician Assistant program. My dream job would be a Physician Assistant.
