School(s) attended K-8: St. Peter’s (K-2), St. Michael’s (3-8)
Favorite place on campus: I always enjoyed hanging out with friends in the band room or commons. I also liked spending time in the chapel, where being in the peace and quiet of God’s presence was inspiring.
Activities at Pius X: Student Council, National Honor Society, Marching & Symphonic Bands
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?
My favorite classes at Pius include Physics, U.S. History, and AP Biology. Having Mr. Cox for Physics was awesome, and his teaching method made learning the concepts easier and far more interesting. I have always loved studying history, and our class discussions in U.S. History were excellent. Finally, I have always been amazed at how God’s divine design is uniquely intertwined in the study of life, so taking AP Bio was a great decision.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?
Having gone to Pius, I can say that my education has undoubtedly impacted my faith. One might say that the better you know God, the better you are able to serve Him. Being able to have open dialogue on the topic of faith with priests, teachers, and my friends has led me to a deeper understanding of my faith what it means to be Catholic.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?
I am most proud of being elected and thankful for having the opportunity to serve our class in a variety of roles in Student Council.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?
I will be attending Loyola University Chicago with a concentration in Pre-Law studies, including majors in Political Science and American History.
