Parents: Lee and Steve Hotovy
School(s) attended K-8: Hotovy Homeschool of the Holy Spirit
Favorite place on campus: The LPAC. As run down as it is, it has a homey feeling that reminds me of my childhood since I performed so many shows on that stage before even coming to Pius. It’s quiet and calm, open and free, and I love it.
Activities at Pius X: Spectrum, AcaFresh, AcaPellas, Cantabella, Concert Choir, Sotto Voce, Super Smash Club, WRC, MC at Talent Shows, and Spectrum Dance Captain
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?
I have always looked forward to my various fine arts classes. Learning how to make ceramics was so hands on and fun, in textiles I was always making something I was proud of, and in music I was always with friends making something beautiful.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?
Having a chapel in the school is the best part. Whenever I had an off period I could go to the chapel and pray all alone. Keeping that relationship constant through the school day was vital to my faith journey.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?
Accessing my individuality and learning to no longer care about the judgments of others.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?
UNL- Major in Textiles/Fashion Merchandising, Minor in Dance
