Parents: Jackie and Brent Newman
School(s) attended K-8: St. Peter’s Catholic School
Favorite place on campus: I always enjoyed getting to be in Mr. Moore’s class just because he was always fun to pick on and his class really brightened up my day and there was never a dull moment.
Activities at Pius X: I participated in soccer my freshman year and then my sophomore year I decided to tryout for golf considering I had never played before and ended up scoring a spot on the team. I also tried diving my sophomore to really push myself and see what I could do. My senior year I participated in managing the girls volleyball team.
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?
My favorite class was girls recreation and sports because I always missed the idea of having recess and getting a chance to play games and mess around with your friends was perfect.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?
My faith was completely changed when I first attended the fall retreat and I was able to have a fun weekend with my friends but still improve in my faith. I’ve learned that implementing your faith into your education helps make it less stressful and leads to improvement spiritually.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?
I am very proud of the relationship I have established with my teachers and all that I have been able to learn and experience with them.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?
I plan to attend SCC for one year and then I am off to Colorado State University where I will study Biomedical Sciences and attend PA school.
