Thunderettes raise funds with finals week survival kits

The Thunderettes dance team put on their annual Finals Week Survival Kits fundraiser December 16.

The bags ranged anywhere between five to fifteen dollars per student. Depending on what exact kit the student wanted.

“The bags all have snacks, drinks, miscellaneous things that we think will help people get through finals week. We all need help in these hard times. But the size determines how much help we may exactly need.” Junior Maya Conrad said.

“We usually sell a bunch of these, I mean, come on, who doesn’t love a bag full of goodies? I believe this year we sold over 100 of them. And that goes to show how much people want food, and how they want to at least survive this first finals week of this year. Heck, it might even be their first finals ever!”

Freshman Ava Chmelka is participating in her first year of dance team.

“This fundraiser will help us in all of our needs. The money doesn’t go toward any specific thing, it just will help us down the road.” Chmelka said.
