Plays and Musicals

The Pius Fine Arts Department produces a play and musical each school year. Auditions are held to cast each production. Public performances are held in the LPAC.

One Act Play

One-Act is a theatrical production that the Pius Fine Arts Department produces every fall semester, and the production is submitted for competition in the yearly NSAA District and State Play Production contest that takes place every December. Auditions are open to all Pius Students. Rehearsals and additional public performances of the play are held at Pius, before the production is “taken on the road” and entered in the district contest.

Thespians/Pius Players

Pius X offers a full-length dramatic play, a full-length musical and many miscellaneous productions and activities throughout the school year. Experience is offered in acting and technical areas.
