Parents: Dien Le and Anh Bui
Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed spending time in the common, especially during lunch because I could talk with my friends about all kinds of things. It was a fun place to relax and connect with people.
Activities at Pius X: Speech team, Science club, Math club, NHS, Track and field
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? My favorite class was Computer Science with Mr. Zach. It was an easy class for me, and I really enjoyed the teamwork activities because they helped strengthen the bonds between students. I also made a lot of friends in computer science.
How has your faith journey evolved during your time at our school? Are there particular experiences or programs that have significantly impacted your spiritual growth? My faith has grown a lot during my time at Pius X. I was not Catholic before, but after transferring to Pius, I felt closer to God through the school’s religious activities. Sister Maria has been especially supportive. Sometimes I talked with her outside of class, and those conversations helped me understand Catholicism better and grow in my faith.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am most proud that I earned an Outstanding Student award in Social Literature and a 4.0 Knight of Columbus at Awards Night. As an international student in my first year at Pius X, I felt especially proud not only of my GPA but also of receiving an Outstanding Student award in my English class.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? UNL- Mechanical Engineering
