Teaching at Pius X

he Catholic Diocese of Lincoln has established a school system in order to fulfill, in part, the mandate of Christ to teach the Gospel to the whole world.  (Matthew 28:18-20).  Catholic schools in the Diocese of Lincoln form students in Christ by means of teaching doctrine, celebrating Liturgy and prayer, building community in Christ, and fostering Christ-like service, in order to assist parents in their duty as the primary educators of the whole child.

It is the intent of Pius X High School to employ competent employees who are dedicated to the highest educational standards of performance and who passionately support the mission of the school.

Pius X offers benefits such as health and dental insurance, 401(k) and more, including opportunities for mass and confession, regular opportunities for adoration, and days off to celebrate certain holy days.

Why Lincoln, Nebraska

My name is Clay Simpson, and I am a 2015 graduate of Pius X High School, a lifelong Lincoln resident, and now a sales development manager at Visit Lincoln, the destination marketing organization for the city of Lincoln.

Growing up in Lincoln, it seemed like it was impossible to go somewhere without seeing someone we knew. It didn’t matter if it was the grocery store, a restaurant on the other side of town, a park we had visited for the first time in years, we always joked that Lincoln is the “biggest small town ever”. Fast forward to my role now at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, specifically with Visit Lincoln, that idea of Lincoln being a “big small” town is one that resonates more than ever.

Living in a city where strangers feel like neighbors, and where there is really a sense of Midwest hospitality gives me a big head start in my role of bringing in conferences and events and promoting Lincoln as a tourism destination for visitors from around the country. I know that when visitors come here, they will feel welcome and have ample opportunities to connect with people that are truly happy they are here, no matter what the occasion. This also holds true for families that are relocating to Lincoln and hopefully feel comfort in moving to a city that is safe, affordable, family-friendly, and packed with opportunities for personal, spiritual, and professional growth.

Lincoln has something special for everyone, whether you’re a first-time visitor or you have lived here for 20+ years. Get out and explore the city we are proud to call home
