Pius X senior David Krier has been named the 2025–26 Gatorade Nebraska Boys Cross Country Player of the Year.
Krier capped an extraordinary season by winning the NSAA Class B state championship, the first individual boys state title in school history, while leading the Thunderbolts to another team state championship.
Beyond athletics, Krier stands out in the classroom and community. He holds a 3.97 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, volunteers through Campus Ministry and the Leadership Club, and tutors peers. This fall, he will continue his running career at the University of Nebraska.
