Kyle Foster ’83

Kyle Foster graduated from Pius X in 1983. He graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988 where he earned B.A. degrees in History and English Literature while also being awarded two athletic letters. He joined the USA Peace Corps in 1989 where he trained in Arabic language and history and served as a teacher of English at the Yemen American Language Institute. Foster attended the School For International Training in Vermont (1998-2002) where he graduated with a degree in International Management with a focus on Sustainable Economic Development.

Since then he has worked across the Middle-East and Africa as a manager, advisor and trainer of agricultural, educational and economic development projects. Foster’s publications include “Can Arable Land Be Increased and Sustained in the Southern Highlands of Arabia?” (2002); CARE – “The Little Business Book: How To Build Your Own Business and Life in a Developing Economy” (2002); Total Quality Management – paper and keynote speaker Sana’a Yemen conference on business development in the Middle East (2010); “Arsenic: The Great Chameleon” Water quality solutions, Cover story – Water Technology Magazine (2015). His Documentary Film Presentations include Terrace Agriculture Systems in highland Arabia: Norwegian Public Television (2002) and “The Years of Living Dangerously” Yemen and climate change with Thomas Friedman (2014).

He is father to Delores-Lul Foster (age 14), Nour Foster (age 12), Amira Ruthanne Foster (age 10).
