Coach Mike Hughes is being inducted into the 2025 Pius X Athletics Hall of Fame.
A graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, Mike was coached by Don Kelley at NC. Hughes coached under Vince Aldrich and Tim Aylward, working with Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Reserve Football at Pius X from 1971-1990. He coached offensive and defensive line and defensive ends. Hughes previously served as president of the Aldrich Foundation, which partnered with Pius X Foundation to establish the Vince Aldrich Memorial Fund in 2009 to support teachers and individuals who are involved in extracurricular activities at Pius X High School.
