Pius X sends weekly emails — the Bolt Bulletin — with updates and announcements, along with other messages as needed throughout the week. We’ve heard from some parents that they aren’t receiving these emails consistently.
The majority of these cases involve Gmail addresses. Our email vendor, Flocknote (also used by many area parishes), confirms that messages are successfully delivered but often end up in spam, junk, or “Updates” folders.
As we’ve worked with parents to troubleshoot, this has proven to be the most common cause. Below are instructions specifically for Gmail users, and we encourage you to follow them — even if you believe you’re receiving most of our emails.

If you use Gmail as your email provider, follow these quick and easy steps to ensure Flocknote mail is never marked as spam!
1. Click the cogwheel icon and select See all settings.
2. Select Filters and Blocked Addresses and click Create a new filter.
3. Type: ‘mail@flocknote.com’ in the From field.
4. Click Create filter and then check the Never send it to Spam box.
5. Hit Create filter and you’re done!
