Parents: Becky and John Shaw
School(s) attended K-8: North American Martyrs
Favorite place on campus: I always loved being in the cafeteria with my friends my junior year because we always enjoyed each others company. I also love spending time with my friends in the commons during our off period where we would study and talk together.
Activities at Pius X: Archery, track, and baking club president
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? My favorite class was academic decathlon because we would learn a new topic each year and learn about art, music, etc. related to the subject. We would also go on trips together to different cities or museums.
How has your faith journey evolved during your time at our school? Are there particular experiences or programs that have significantly impacted your spiritual growth? Going on the fall retreat my sophomore year really strengthened my faith and encouraged me to be the best Catholic I can possibly be.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? Meeting new lifelong friends and lettering in archery.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? I’ll be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall where I’ll double major in Meteorology and Broadcasting.
