Favorite place on campus: I enjoy being in the chapel. I like going in there for a nice break and it’s quiet and peaceful. Just sitting there when the sun shines through the stained glass makes God feel present in the school, chapel and in my heart.
Activities at Pius X: Golf, Track, Swim team, Bowling, Choir, Pius Talent shows. Pius sports leadership club.
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? My favorite class Competitive Public Speaking. The connection with the people in the class made it fun and enjoyable. I have so many memories I still look back on today.
How has your faith journey evolved during your time at our school? Are there particular experiences or programs that have significantly impacted your spiritual growth? My faith journey has evolved so much. In the beginning of high school I kept saying that God is going to find me and I will wait for him and I joined campus ministry longing for more. I realized that I have to find God too. I can’t just wait for him to come to me but to have a relationship with him, I need to try as well. Being in campus ministry has helped me grow in faith and push me to do the things for my faith to grow.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am most proud of how hard I have pushed myself in school, athletics, friendship and faith. I will look back on my years at high school and realize all the great memories that I have had because I stuck with the little challenges.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? After high school, I plan on attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I am going to major in business administration and use that degree to help me open up my own bakery or restaurant.
