Marching Band wraps up ‘superior’ season at state

The Pius X Marching Band earned a superior rating at the State Marching Band Competition last Saturday in Lincoln. It’s the school’s first time earning back-to-back superior ratings at the state, and the third superior rating out of three competitions this year. Softball team volunteers time for service activities

The Pius X softball team completed 31 hours worth of work in only one hour’s time this past Saturday: Picking vegetables, mulching, baking, washing cars, and preparing supplies for catechesis classes. “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” Matthew 20:28

Football team service project helps feed the hungry

The Pius X football team and football family donated supplies and assembled sack lunches that were delivered to the People’s City Mission as part of their Meals to Go Program. The Mission distributes 100+ Meals to Go per day to men, women and children. The players assembled 200+ meals in about an hour.

From senior art project to French class ceiling

Mapping out the finer points of classic book

English II students in Nolan DeWispelare’s class made maps of Maycomb to review the unit on the book, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ Students used context clues from the book to determine where different parts of the town are located in relation to each other.

Nine families, 10 boys, one school year: ‘Pius Ten’ marks new milestone
