Students learn lessons in the workplace

The purpose of school is to help students to improve their learning for after they graduate high school. After high school, students can go to college, but they need to earn some money first. High school jobs are great for buying a car, tuition, or a gaming PC.

Senior Sergio Miranda Herrera works at Gratopp Building Specialties Inc., where he works 50-hour weeks during the summer and during the school year he works about five. His dad introduced him to this job, and he has learned and experienced many things from working construction.

“Construction is great for high school since you meet many people who do this as an adult, and you encounter more than just construction workers. You meet electricians, plumbers, engineers, architects, etc.,” he said.

Jobs are great learning achievements in life and good for earning money, learning important skills, and building character.

Junior Ethan Watson said, “Saving money from a job is effective and smart, it can give many learning experiences, and it helps you progress in life.”

It’s common to see the opinion of the benefit of learning achievements in a job. Furthermore, it makes a better character and builds a good work ethic.

Junior Jacob Riesberg who works at Hy-Vee said, “Having a job is good when you have free time, and it helps you become a better person. Learning experiences affect the way you act and with a job it helps you grow into a better person.”
