Pius X held the first Restore event of the 2023-24 school year Sept. 6.
The event began with senior Natalie Prichard giving her testimony to all those attending.
“There were a lot of nerves but also excitement that I get to share something vulnerable to people that care about me,” Prichard said. “A lot of it was just focused on the abandonment that I felt, then I finally accepted that I needed God back in my life.”
When Prichard concluded her testimony, adoration began. Services such as prayer teams and confessions were offered, but for many students the music was the best part.
“I thought the music was very peaceful and it made me feel more in the presence of the Lord,” senior Claudia Tabor said. “As I was sitting there listening to the lyrics, it made me feel closer to Him. It was reassurance that God was there with me.”
Adoration lasted until 8 p.m. and then the students were invited into the library for snacks and fellowship.
“If you are ever feeling alone, turn to God,” Prichard said. “He has a lot in store for you and a lot He wants to do in your life.”
